The Last Lap - Perth 2012

I think I have got this obsession with maple trees recently. Maybe because it’s in Autumn and it’s one of the nicest times when the leaves turn bright red and the wonderful thing about it that the leaves shine brighter than the flowers(if there were any)

Hebrews 12:1-3 would be the verse that I would be reminded of when I see this picture. It feels like it is the last lap, the last one standing. And as the Author of Hebrews said, let us run this race for Him and set our eyes just upon him. 

Hebrews 12:1-3

12Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, ² fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame,and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. ³ Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

For those of my friends who still have the last one or two papers, press on! It’s literally the last lap and that goes for anyone anywhere else.

Study, work, live for Christ and never lose sight.

Giant Candy Floss - Perth 2012

For those of you who are snuggling up in a couch or in their beds. In the midst of the storms. A tree that I took on Sunday(which looked like a giant candy floss) with the storm brewing, taking out many trees and electricity in Perth. 

Exams aren’t over but wanted to share an experience. I was paranoid and nervous for my first paper on Monday. I ended up going into the exams calm. I was praying the night before because I was all tensed up. I went into the exam kinda muddle headed and not getting much out of it but half way through, I decided to stop and pray. DURING THE EXAM! I stopped, prayed, left the hall for awhile and settled backed in. 

It was an unexplainable peace that was within, I didn’t know some of the answer and me being me I would have just freaked out but yeah, I think it went well. Praise to God. 

I’ll end this with a bible verse: 

Psalms 23:1-3

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. 
²     He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters, 
³     he refreshes my soul. 
He guides me along the right paths 
    for his name’s sake.

Shall update this post once my finals are over. Needed to get this out to get some warmth out there! Press on people with finals like me TT. 

This storm shall not bring us down. 

May the peace of the Lord be with you no matter where you are and no matter what you are facing at this point of time.
